I always felt the same way! MB looked so freaky in the NES version, it's wonderful to see her potential fully realized in such a beautiful work as this!

Yeah! I really wished MB looked that way in future installments. Makes me want to redesign the full bodied MB from Super in a similar fashion!

It's very creepy. I think the vacuum bulbs give it a good old sci-fi movie look.Β Β

Yeah, I wanted to keep a little of that b-movie charm intact!

Metroid. There is never enough of it.

In certain ways yes, but I think the franchise might die soon, and I'd be perfectly fine with it in all honesty.Β

It'd be sad, in my opinion. The last ones have been misses rather than hits, but the Metroid Prime trilogy was one step above in gameplay and atmosphere. I wouldn't mind seeing some more of it, or at least a proper remaster.

Yeah, I dunno, I don't have enough faith in Nintendo to bring Metroid back in a respectable way. And as much as I love the series, other games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, or indie titles like Axiom Verge have taken up the mantle as far as that exploration formula is concerned.Β Β

There is truth in what you say, but I would love to see what they could do with Metroid in the modern state of technologies. Let's not lose all hope!

I think if they went on the same tangent as Metroid Fusion, they could easily make a very interesting Metroid sequel, but Nintendo just plays it too safe to try something like that.

Thanks my man! I've always been fascinated by designs of this type- the precarious marriage of flesh and machine- it lends itself to very disturbing imagery!
