remember a while ago wen i was askin for suggestions for the theme "belonging+home" ??? well this is what i ended up doin
by mixed media i mean:
` ink
` oils
` acrylic
` watercolours
` shelack (however you spell it), and
` newspaper
how big is it?? ahh.. 'bout 1m wide and 11/2 long?
how long did it take? psh i dunno! this is my art thinggo from school so it's not really timed...
so do i like it? yes. i do like it. for those that didnt know of my diff school style, this is it. no drawings - but this kinda stuff
its not flash but i think its cool enough

pretty cool. it's nice to see different kinds of art than the usual portraits that you do. the bright colors are nice, and i like how it's segmented.

i was gona use a canvas, but used this really thick board instead

i love this piece... a lot of people would disagree with me after seeing some of your sketches but for me this is better than the sketches. very gritty and raw brush strokes adds emotion to your work... although your work has struck me in such a way as to ask if you were happy when you were making this piece...

:-p I didn't mean it as a insult please. I mean it slightly has a Picasso inspiration in it that gives it a very interesting character to the piece.
Like during the time Picasso was still experimenting with Chubism.
This definate has the use of experimeting with cubism with the puzzle like pieces to the face.
Very well thought out piece of organization use as well as the coloring organization use too.

I like the use of mixed media for this. It really makes you feel like you don't belong in one place, but have parts of you spread all over. That's how I feel now, so maybe I'm just putting myself into it, but I can see it so clearly in this.
