Mara: (strolling down the beach) Hey, Marin. Funny how I keep bumping into you here.

(Mara nods and opens her mouth to say something but it gets stuck in her mouth as she stares wide eyed).
Mara: Uh... Marin. Something's happening to you....

Marin: Huh? What are you talking about? *looks at you, having not noticed anything odd yet*

Mara: Wait... I might've been seeing things... The Sun's bright today. Never mind. Anyway where's Cameron? I haven't seen him in a while.

*hurries over, following her voice* What's wrong, Marin? *notices Mara* Oh, hi again, Mara! Good to see you!

Mara: Oh boy. I think I know what's going on... (Looks at Marin). And it's starting again... Marin, I think you're evolving!

Marin: Huh? I...I am? Oh my gosh! That's so awesome!!! *smiles and claps her flippers* But...I don't feel anything...maybe I'm not there yet...but I wonder why it's only happening now? Maybe it's from all the fun I have out here...
Really? That's odd...Wait, I think I have an idea! Why don't you two have a battle? That could be the last push she needs!

Mara: Okay! Just a warning though: I fight to win! But just so you have a chance... ( Her pendant glows orange and flames sprout all over her as she starts changing into a Flareon) Let's go!

Marin: I'll do what I can. But remember, I've dealt with worse before I met Cameron. *opens up with Disarming Voice* NOW LET'S SEE WHAT YOU'VE GOT!!!

Mara: Gah! (covers ears) Okay... First blood goes to you. But lets see how you like THIS! (Releases an Ember attack and then runs after it, starting a Flare Blitz move.)

*blows up a bubble, and tries to use it as a springboard so she can use Water Gun from above*
Hey, Marin! I hope you don't mind fighting on your own for this one!
Marin: I think I can manage!

Mara: Good! Cause here, anything goes! (Attempts a Fire Fang attack)

Marin: *tries to aim her Water Gun straight into her mouth*

( It goes straight down her throat, causing her to stop the attack and leaves her coughing and gagging for a few seconds)
Mara: You're craftier than I thought. I guess I don't need to go easy anymore. (The pendant changes from orange to yellow as crackling electricity surrounds her) Lets see how you handle this! (releases a Discharge)

Marin: Woah! *tries to sidestep, but her flippers aren't the best at land movement, so she gets zapped* Ugh...that really hurt! *struggles back up* Okay then...I need to get more creative!

Mara: (now a Jolteon) Glad to hear it! After all you're gonna need to think outside the box to beat me! (Launches a Pin Missile attack)

Marin: Okay, how about this? *does a few clown-like acrobatics to slowly work her way through the Pin Missile attack and quickly uses Pound*

Mara: Ugh! (Gets knocked off balance for a second) Slippery thing aren't you? Although I thought you'd follow up with something stronger than pound...

Marin: Well, if you insist. *point blank Aqua Jet*

(As it hits, you can tell it hit something sensitive, as it not only knocks her several feet away, but she has trouble getting back up. It looks like every movement she makes is agony)
Mara: (weakly) Okay.... You win. (Faints)

Marin: Did...did I really do it?
I think you did! Great job! *runs up and hugs her*
Marin: I did it! I did it! *lots of bubble balloons start flying out in her ecstasy*

Mara: (eventually struggles to her feet) Oh well... Guess I had that coming. Good fight! (Notices something) And it looks like that was just the push we needed! LOOK!

Marin: I feel weird...please stay close, Cameron?
I'll be here every step of the way. Just stay calm. *rubs her head*

Mara: You may wanna close your eyes. (Shuts her's tightly and turns away as Marin is surrounded in a flash of blinding blue light)

*closes my eyes, and I see a bright blue through my eyelids, and I can feel her body changing as she hugs me*

(as the light finally fades you see Marin is no longer a Popplio)
Mara: Well, congratulations! Your Popplio is now a Brionne!

*opens my eyes to see Marin doing the same*
Marin: *her eyes grow in wonder* Brionne!

Mara: Well, that's a happy face if I've ever seen one. Glad to be of help! (winces a little from the pain) Next time, though could you not hit as hard? I'm still aching from that. Cameron, you wouldn't happen to have anything that can soothe the pain, would you?

Marin: Wait! I have an idea! *creates a bunch of bubbles* Now put whatever part is hurting you in a bubble.

*laying in it, it feels like you're in a nice, warm tub*
Marin: I think I learned Scald, but I turned it down and infused a bubble with it. How's it feel?
