Simply fantastic, looking at PurpleVine, I can see something very special... Very unique and very wonderful! It has an alluring background, that blooms into focus so magnificently and utterly serene. The young lady herself is but a physical representation of elegance, it's that look on her face that just screams subtle joy.
This artist is lovely, capable of creating such an amazing period piece, set in the winds of a beautiful spring? Though an opinion, it seems as though this sweet woman enjoys her April afternoons as the gentle breeze dances particles of pollen in her garden's entrance. Brilliant, just Brilliant!

Beautiful art as always! I really, really love the combination of colors here, the background (a touch of pink with the color of the background really caught my attention) so feminine and relaxing, I really like the blending of colors; the dress (if that's what's called, sorry I don't have any idea on what the dress in Ancient China is called) but I think the dress goes perfectly with her. Her face is so angelic and mild. I also love your idea of adding a veil, for me it added a touch of being divine and majestic, with the tiara or crown, too.
I can't seem to find what's wrong or missing in this art, because for me it's really, really nice. For me, with just one look I can say that this art, indeed, takes me back to Ancient China.

A shy maiden peeks out from behind the doors; what is she looking for?
Even from far away, the bright blue contrasting against the softer hues catches the eye. Then, almost immediately, the gaze is then drawn to the headdress of the girl, and we take in the wistful, bashful expression. Behind her, the mix of primrose pink and soft chartreuse nearly hides the shimmering veil that drifts over her elegantly painted hair.
The smallest details are taken care of as well, down to the colorful band around her waist and the fan clutched in her slightly tense fingers.

this is absolutely beautiful. i love the depth of the colors, yet they still seem soft , they blend and flow very nicely. her eyes draw you right to her pretty face. very nice, perfect color palette.she has flawless hair. she seems like she has been pulled right out of another era. the gate is amazingly realistic and antique looking. she appears to be youthful like she has a story to tell and yet she is also a bit ghostly and mysterious. her veil is so impressive, so pretty, it cant have been easy to make the fabric seem so transparent. i want to step right into the painting and smell the lilacs.

First of all, this is just pure beautiful! I love this piece. The colours of the peachy pink, purple and green in the background are usually hard colours to make them harmonious. But you just nailed it!
Details of the character's headpiece is perfect! It just grabs attention to the character. And the touch of the swaying wind towards her hair and veil, just makes the whole piece looking as though its happening right now.
I also love how you added different colours in her clothes, especially the shades of blue. It just grabs your attention and stand out from the rest of the pink and green background.
And as always, I love the detail of her eyes. They just make her look beautiful and innocent. A job more exceptional well done!

I like the satiny sheen on the fabric; it makes it look like real silk, and the colors aren't too funky to be something of the time period. I like that it's blue instead of another color in the warmer palate because that would make her blend in with the background, and all people would see is a floating head. I like the movement alot, and the sweet expression goes well with her body placement in the scene. I like the details too. :>

Hmm, more pink?....Yep, you still got it in you to convert me into your way of thinking about pink.
I love the contrast/compliment between the pink and blue. It really was a great choice for this picture.

Critque: Good piece overall.
Strong points: The face is lovelly, the eyes and the expression i think it worked really well. The motion in the transparent veil that covers her hair is also really nice and i think the door semi opened worked really well, as if a princess hidding in exile that is about to meet the prince
The clothes are colorful but somehow work well with the look! The orange in the Obi is really well achieved.
Could be better: The background, somehow i believe it could have received more attention. The lower part is not finished, or so it seems and in the upper part some of the pinks seem excessive. Despite that really good piece, look forward for more.
