Description ...I just had to do it. The thought was in my head and before I went to bed last night this is what I had come up with.

So before any die-hard Twilighters come at me with claws and fangs I would like you to know that this is only humor and that I don't mean to offend anyone. I myself was a Twilight fan (when nobody actually knew what Twilight was about or who Stephanie Meyer was) at one point until... Erik had entered my life. I'm pretty sure almost everyone goes through the Twilight stage.

But, yes Erik and Edward have their differences which make them unique to their fans. Like we said though, there's only one downfall to Edward ladies... sorry.

Now, if vampires do exist (which people claim to be vampires) I don't believe they would sparkle in the sunlight. I'm just saying!

PS
I am fully aware by now that Erik really doesn't have a surname so please, do not point that out.

The surname Destler was created for the 1989 Robert Englund version. If only there were more versions where Carlotta dies....

I'M OBSESSED WITH PHANTOM!

hadesdecharon [2011-08-10 02:11:07 +0000 UTC]

...Technically his last name isn't Destler and technically he doesn't have a sword. But other than that, this is kinda cute.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to hadesdecharon [2011-08-10 02:16:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I know I've had some people already tell me lol it's alright though. You live and you learn. The name Destler only came to mind because I thought that was his official last name but, I came to find out that it's not. I feel bad though cause I've been a Phan for about well over 4 years now and I'm still learning lmao

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hadesdecharon In reply to PhoenixoftheOpera [2011-08-11 23:49:22 +0000 UTC]

Ahah, yeah. I measure everything by the original novel, where Erik may or may not even be his real name in the first place. Destler comes from that silly Eglund film and it's stuck around like a pestilence for whatever reason. I don't see people using Mulheim, which is technically ALW's Phantom's name now that he's written the "sequel"...

Live and learn, I suppose!

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to hadesdecharon [2011-08-14 02:59:52 +0000 UTC]

Ugh then England film was alright. Not his best works. He's better as Freddy Kreugar deff. I never knew the ALW Erik's last name hmm But yeah I agree you live and you learn

I'm not so fond of Erik having a surname, but this is very funny!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to millenium-night [2011-08-01 20:11:35 +0000 UTC]

I know I just learned of Erik not having a last name. heh I actually should post that in the description. I'm so used to that last name because when i was a "baby" Phan that's what I was told his last name was. I still have alot to learn though I see

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

millenium-night In reply to PhoenixoftheOpera [2011-08-01 20:30:15 +0000 UTC]

Don't worry, it's not really wrong XD Whoever told you this watched the 1989's Robert Englund version, as far as I know.
Is it healthy knowing these details when you've only been a phan for three months? oO
Whatever, PotO is great and that's all that counts

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to millenium-night [2011-08-01 20:47:07 +0000 UTC]

actually I've been a Phan for well over three years now heheh yeeeeaahh sadly I didn't really know many people were Phantom fans until just a few months ago when I had first went onto DA (of course this is my new account.) But, everyone who has know PotO for longer than I have has helped a great deal nonetheless. I'm getting Kay's book "Phantom" soon so it should be a good learning experience

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

millenium-night In reply to PhoenixoftheOpera [2011-08-01 21:04:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh no, I was not referring to you but to myself when saying three months
Kay's novel was excellent. Except for the retelling of the opera house part perhaps, which felt a bit rushed. Still, I would recommend it to everyone, and I even got positive feedback from non-Phantom fans.
Speaking of books, have you read the 'Phoenix of the Opera' series (just asking because of your name)?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to millenium-night [2011-08-01 21:42:06 +0000 UTC]

Oh dang well you're lucky. Only 3 months and you know more than I do teheYeah I heard her book was just amazing so I have to read it.
hahaha everyone asks me that question because of my name. It's alright though as I am in the process of getting that series and reading it myself. But, I've had this name before I even knew of the 'Phoenix of the Opera' series. everything is explained on my 'about me' section in my webpage though

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

millenium-night In reply to PhoenixoftheOpera [2011-08-03 11:20:18 +0000 UTC]

I see Well, I read the series, so I thought it would be interesting to talk about it with someone since not many seem to know it. I reviewed it in a journal entry; if you want to read the books, I hope you like Gerard Butler's interpretation of the Phantom.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to millenium-night [2011-08-03 22:14:37 +0000 UTC]

I do like Gerard's interpretation actually. That's the first Phantom anything I saw lol. But,then I started exploring and whatnot finding all different kinds

I started with Leroux's original following the recommendation of a friend who mistook it for Kay's novel (which I read afterwards). What can I say, it got me hooked

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to millenium-night [2011-08-05 21:35:48 +0000 UTC]

I totally agree on that even though I haven't read them yet. lol It's hard ton find them in bookstores though

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

millenium-night In reply to PhoenixoftheOpera [2011-08-07 17:39:37 +0000 UTC]

It is indeed, which is why I purchased most of my books online^^ (common book stores wouldn't have most of them anyway, safe for Leroux's one perhaps)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PhoenixoftheOpera In reply to millenium-night [2011-08-08 01:23:03 +0000 UTC]

Leroux's is always in the store. I see it all the time
