Description The Grates
Shot in my favourite subway in Cardiff.
Also seen here with Mr Peril who also likes to use it: here
We try to limit its use but it's so damn nice.
Took this after borrowing them briefly after they supported the Young Knives at Cardiff Barfly. I tried to be quick as it was head numbingly cold, but they were great (no pun intended but there anyway) and didn't complain.

Also seen in the background is Alex the busker: always good for random chats in the wee hours of the morning when I'm on my way home from town.

yea they've just come back from america with a new album (yay!). they seem pretty keen to get back on the touring wagon. they'll probably be back in cardiff soon, i'd say! the new album comes out in august, i think.

Well they are from the town I live in. So I am glad to have them back

It is great bumping into them at gigs around town, and at the movies. They are the nicest bunch of people to chat to.

This was after the fourth (I think) time that I'd photographed one of their gigs and I just asked em nicely if I could borrow them for 10 minutes . One of my favorite bands to photograph; they're all really nice and friendly.
