I got as many of them on DVD as I could find after I saw them on the retro channel late last year.

Lucky for you that you have that retro channel. I have none of that were I live. A lot of today's TV shows lack originality. But I've been getting in touch with old memories through YouTube where I found a lot of the episodes from this show. I remember how much I loved that show from way back in the day. But most of the times I would watch it for Cleo. Because she used to be one of my BIGGEST obsessions since the 80s. She was (and still is ) a major hottie. I should consider ordering the DVDs.

Youtube helps fill in the gaps because the retro channel doesn't show all of the episodes ( plus, I usually can't watch them cuz I have to go to work ) and only some are on DVD. It was just a pretty fun show all around.

Lotsa people have forgotten about it though. Maybe it got out-shined by Inspector Gadget. Unfortunately the 21 or so 2nd season episodes were kinda lacking the wonder of a lot of the 1st season episodes. It seemed like they forgot that Hector, Wordsworth & Mungo interacted with Heathcliff sometimes.

Well... Not me. I remember Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats as well as I remember Inspector Gadget and every other show that came out in the 80s and the 90s. One thing that really puzzled me since the beginning was that they would only have Hector, Wordsworth, and Mungo appear in both segments of the show whether the episode featured Heathcliff or Riff Raff and Cleo. But they would never have Heathcliff and Riff Raff appear within the show simultaneously. And the only time we see them together in the same scene was in the closing credits where Riff Raff snatches his hat back from Heathcliff. But I always wondered what would have happened if those two were to meet face to face within the actual show. I always thought they'd be rivals. And only God knows what would happen if Heathcliff won Cleo's heart and admiration.

Me too really. I tend to remember all that stuff, even if I didn't watch or like it much.
I always wondered why Riff Raff & Heathcliff didn't interact. As far as I've seen, they stuck Riff Raff in a crowd scene in one episode but that was it. I think the 2 don't get along very well and have some sort of understanding about each others turf. You can bet Riff Raff would try to woo Sonja too.

It could be that they prefer to stay away from each other, or for reasons totally unknown, the producers and the writers of the show had ultimately decided not to have the two meet each other face to face. And I always thought that would make an awesome episode. Heh, yeah; I bet Riff Raff would totally capture the attention of Sonya!
