Awesome shot! I made some pics of this nebula too, but my scope is only f/12 (skywatcher 1500/127). Im planning to buy a Newtonian with a f/5 next, to gather more light

Thank you.

A 1500mm focal length is pretty long.  Mine is only 1200mm.
I had been looking at some larger diameter scopes, but recently decided to go the other way and look at shorter focal lengths to get a wider field of view.
There is just so much structure with this and other wide field objects that I can't touch.

I keep bouncing back and forth between the Orion site, OPT, and Ebay.
I can't decide.

wow thats a lot I thought you cant go much more than 400 with Orion. I am starting with astrophotography myself. Its a lot to learn

There is no one way to do Astrophotography, but there are people who will try to convince you otherwise.

My setup is equivalent to this: www.telescope.com/Telescopes/R…

To use a DSLR I had to do a few mods to get the correct back focus.
I replaced the focuser with this one: www.telescope.com/Orion-2-Low-…

and had to replace some of the hardware on the mirror cell.

Hope that helps.
