Commission of 's character Si

This was harder than I thought it was going to be. I used my skinny dog pattern for this one. Its the same pattern I'm using for tall lanky dogs such as greyhounds and great danes. The body is thinner and the legs are longer than the previous few dogs I've made.

The hair was the trickiest part. Its not 100% like how the character was drawn, but its tough to turn a 2D drawing into 3D with felt. I first tried needle felting the roving I made, but it was just too thin and didn't do well. So I cut different sized triangles and needle felted those onto the head. That worked much better. The volume isn't as high, but it is pretty tall.

The eyes are made by painting my regular eyes with white nail polish. It works much better than regular paint and doesn't come off easy if its scratched. The black and gray details are made with a marker.

This was more challenging than I thought it would be, but I'm pretty happy with it.
