Ah, sorry for the really slow uploading recently! :iconmioforgivemeplz:And also for the crappy background - I kinda wanted to get this finished!
I've been pretty busy. But, I should (hopefully) have more free time for drawing now.
Anyway, I wanted to draw Karuta. She's so adorable, I just love her!~
Still trying to get used to this "painting" effect. Although, I think I could do with making it a little neater.

Hehehe, I think I am getting used to it. It's so much more fun and "free" than using lineart (I think). It's also the style I've always dreamed of trying/using.
I think neatness is good to an extent, but messy can have a nice effect on it's own. It's about finding the right balance, I think

Maybe you could start trying 'graphic design' backgrounds, so you dont have to draw legit scenes everytime (which is exactly the reason why I do a lot of those with my drawings haha).

There was actually a rather naughty drawing I felt like cropping and uploading here, but I felt like it would be cutting it even like that
Hehe, that's a good suggestion! I just wanted to get this drawing uploaded and finished (because it was so long before I finished it, that I got a little bored of it). I would really like to also experiment with painting scenic backgrounds and stuff, also.

Aaahhh yes, Im all too familiar with that problem~
You could try more dynamic poses? Try angles and positions that you don't normally do.
Or have multiple characters in one drawing~ have them interacting with each other, or elements in the background?
Ecchi drawings are also always interesting? haha
These are just some things that Ive learned (through practicing in my daily sketches) to stop myself from drawing the same, old boring things that I do~ But man I LOVE my front view, upright standing character drawings, because I find them 'safe' and easy to do. Hehhhhh.... >_>;;
Point is... We need to start pushing ourselves.
