For this I decided to try even lighter shade of grey for the face, and it's like barely visible even with more than one layer, but seems to make a difference. What I do like is the combination of thin lines with the darker grey marker!

Random: Before I start to ink, especially if I have cold hands like today, I warm them up by rubbing hands together (and gently stretching my wrists when I remember orz). I've learned the hard way that if I attempt to draw with cold hands I'll break myself. Pencil lines I do are so light and sketchy I don't have to have a tight grip on it like with the inking pen so my hand warms up while sketching.
