I've only seen the first episode of the new series, but I have to say, I like the old one most (I like the old designs most, and I don't like the 3D in the transformation scene >< It was way more impressive when it was in full 2D *n*) - even if there is interesting things in the new one !

I'm not sure 100% yet but I'm going to stick it out and see how I feel. I agree with you, I preferred the characters in the old style.Β Hopefully the story will make up for it, it's gonna be more faithful to the manga I hear. A lot of stuff was censored in the American version of the old series (which is the one I grew up with). 
There is a lot of cool elements in the new series anyway and I do really love some of the art. I'm gonna give it a chance and see how it goes.

I saw the (terrible XD) french version as a child, the intro music was really... Funny XDD
But I totally understand that you like the version of your childhood <3

i just listened to the french intro.. all i can say is i'm glad i didn't grow up with this one
some of the dubs really sucked. :c
