Wishing a happy birthday to !! Sad to hear that she had a bad start so hopefully here’s something to cheer her up ;;u;;/ So these are her wonderful OCs, Lupus (the lady) and Barques (the wolf), that she had used in her graduation work. Barquest should be bigger but i have a hard time drawing large animals >_<;; I’m not entirely sure if the setting is possible (at least where the OCs originally reside in the world she created) but i just wanted something eerie and ominous. And it’s not that i got lazy with coloring… i just picked to color the things that shine. 8D;;
(side note: now that i think about it… this is looks like a red riding hood AU with a unique twist.)

I like this. I like this a lot. You do a fantastic job of creating mood and atmosphere with detail; the mist, the lighting, the posing, the expressions...it all works together to really bring home a sense of unease and mystery and danger. The muted coloring is just exquisite, and I love that both the girl and the wolf are clearly on the look-out for something; maybe nothing specific, but something out there. The design work here is also pretty great; the gleam of gold on our rider is an excellent touch. The whole pic just oozes atmosphere, I love it. ^3^

The shine of the wolf's eyes is perhaps my favorite part! Overall, the general eeriness is great, too. Definitely sets a mood. Also, it can be hard getting perspective right on large animals when they are facing forward like that, and it looks just fine to me.

haha thanks! yeah i find doing forward perspective of anything is frustrating (all the more need for practice)
