I watch you fast asleep
All I fear means nothing
After a sparring or training session, Akira and Lea like to take a break in Ilana’s garden.
While Akira spends the time with reading, Lea often tends to doze off.
Usually she scolds him for being such a sleepyhead, but when he nuzzles to her like this she can’t be mad.
I had this picture in my head for a while and I’m so happy it’s finished now.
Between all the training, the threat of the darkness and their own personal problems, they still get the chance to relax and just enjoy each other’s company.
That one line from Sanctuary fits perfectly to this scene, so I added it. xD
This was suuuch a treat to work on. Leanart has such wonderful lines and damn do I love the way he draws hair!
I played around a lot of different ways to make the shadows of the leaves and after trying out different brushes I still ended up doing it all by hand.
And I’m so pleased with the result!
Also had a blue sky first, but to match it with the colors of the characters and shadows I changed it and chose the sky color you usually see in-game in Radiant Garden.
