Description The whip on her bedside table,
The lashings on her back,
The beauty scars on her skin,
Each of them begging for more.

The passion in her eyes,
The power in her gasp,
            Endless
As the whip cracks once again.

The hurt her body aches for,
The pain that she lives for,
            Relentless
As the blade slides once again.

Again and again,
She tries to stop herself,
Hiding the weapons of pleasure,
The whip on the table,
And the knife under the bed.

But her heart beats harder,
The craving gets ever stronger,
            Eternal,
As tomorrow begins again...

Love your comments, thanks very much!
Yah, you can share it, no problem
Mind sending me a link where you've used it so I can have a peek?
I'm a bit bemused about the upload date, what's odd about it?

Thanks again!

If I find something good, I generally have a look through the other stuff.

By the way, I'd totally favourite this, but apparently it's not coming up at the moment. The thought's there anyway!

I try to make people happy! Counters the fact that so much of what I write does the opposite!

Touché, my work isn't exactly a depiction of bunnies, kittens and chocolate either!

I do rather like your work, I'm slightly jealous as to how well you can make your poems rhyme... xD

Haha, but you make it look so effortless!

And for someone who's only been on for a week, you've uploaded the same amount of stuff that I do in about 4 months!
But then I'm an A-level student with no spare time at all thanks to further maths...
Perhaps if I did English I'd be better at my poetry...

AS or A2? I'm the former, but I don't do Maths (neither do I envy you for it).

And I was just putting up stuff I'd done before, I'm rapidly running out there though so uploads will slow soon, hah.

I'm in AS at the mo, I suppose I regret taking so many subjects, too many exams, 9 in total, including 2 retakes. (5 AS levels and 4 A2s) (F Maths, Biology, Physics and AS Accounts, I want to do physics at uni, you?)

Lol okies.

Avenvia In reply to Pingk-NC [2010-05-06 16:20:36 +0000 UTC]

The options I picked are all AS; English Literature, Photography, Psychology and Biology. I'm not doing any retakes this time round, but I might do them next Janurary. And our school also has General Studies (complete waste of time), so I'm doing those exams too soon. I really don't have a clue what I'm doing for uni, it's something my teachers aren't too happy about at the moment.

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 17:45:03 +0000 UTC]

My brother had to do general studies, there's no point in it, uni's don't accept it as an a level...

To be honest, it doesn't matter what your teachers think, as long as you end up doing something you enjoy, that's pretty much what I'm doing. Career-wise, I have no clue about physics based jobs xD.

What kind of things do you do in Photography?
P.S. Why not upload some of your pics?

Avenvia In reply to Pingk-NC [2010-05-06 18:05:27 +0000 UTC]

Our school lies and says they do. I won't start ranting on how bad it is, but suffice to say there's genuinely no promise that what we "learn" in the lessons are what will come up in the exam.

I might go for Journalism or something, but I have a bad habit of not wanting to go into anything I don't like or anything competitive, which really narrows it down.

In Photography we do separate projects, with an exam project at the end. Everything's due in tomorrow, but I'm nearly finished so I'll do it in the lesson. My exam project was all long-exposures and light bulbs (I imagine that sounds totally fascinating to ya..)

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 18:13:18 +0000 UTC]

Haha, sounds pretty odd to be observing and taking notes about light bulbs xD

Ty for the watch, shall return the compliment...

*Adds to watch*

Avenvia In reply to Pingk-NC [2010-05-06 18:27:50 +0000 UTC]

The process is: Camera on tripod, one hand on button. Other hand holding LED over a lightbulb on a mirror. Press buttom. Manically move LED for four seconds. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Then, finally, write a couple of paragraphs embellishing on the above to make it sound clever and worthy of an A*!

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 18:34:18 +0000 UTC]

xD sounds pretty cool, but surely the bulb would hurt your eyes? (Unless it has a dimmer switch)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Avenvia In reply to Pingk-NC [2010-05-06 18:43:09 +0000 UTC]

The bulb itself isn't on; it's a dead bulb. It just wouldn't be safe to use a live bulb, you see... so instead I used candles and more fire and dangly LEDs at high speed!

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 19:02:41 +0000 UTC]

Oooh, awesome!

Just out of interest, are you fascinated by fire? I find it cool just how it keeps a perfect teardrop shape on the end of a wick, and many other things (Much too childish to put on here, like dipping a match in liquid wax, then watching it sizzle as you try to set it alight xD)

Avenvia In reply to Pingk-NC [2010-05-06 19:16:32 +0000 UTC]

I love fire way too much! I love it so much my friend's engraving me a lighter for my birthday, haha. I like melted wax too, I mess around with it whenever there's a candle near.

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 19:20:04 +0000 UTC]

xD I remember at gcse, we were doing experiments with metals that make the bunsen burner flame change colour, Once i put a whole load of it on the flame and it went purple and sparkly.

Oooh, next time you see a candle, get your lighter and spin the wheel (But not making a flame) so that the sparks hit the candle, it glitters brilliantly!

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try it! I remember doing that at GCSE too.. Magnesium was always my favourite ^^

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 19:27:09 +0000 UTC]

I loved magnesium, we did an experiment once of burning it in a chamber of pure oxygen, she said not to look directly into it, (but I ignored her) and it was so awe-inspiring!

Avenvia In reply to Pingk-NC [2010-05-06 19:29:57 +0000 UTC]

And retina-frying, I imagine! Our teacher once did a reaction with Mg and I can't remember what else (it being back in Year 9) and the flames burned the roof, it was hilarious.

I find it amusing that right now the future of our country being decided and we're discussing fire

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 19:41:39 +0000 UTC]

That is quite amusing, but fire is more important than a government (and more exciting), without it, we couldn't even have cars!

To be honest, I don't really care about politics, so long as university fees don't go up, my brother is doing medicine, and hes already got quite a debt, and hes only in his 4rd year!

Fancy making a collab on the wonders and awesomeness of fire?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Avenvia In reply to Pingk-NC [2010-05-06 19:44:59 +0000 UTC]

Hell yes! Without fire, people just wouldn't be people, would they?

And I agree with you on the Government. Don't matter who you vote for; the Government always gets in.

Uni fees can make you feel a bit faint, huh? I know they make me feel slightly ill when I see all the zeros...

Pingk-NC In reply to Avenvia [2010-05-06 19:48:45 +0000 UTC]

xD Thats very true! I cant imagine a world without fire!

Its not the 0's I'm worried about, its when they become 8's and 9's that I start to get kinda worried...
Damn, I just got an image of being a student and getting that dreaded letter from my bank... O_O

Yeah, I think thats the worst bit: having a good degree, but nothing to do with it...

Anyways, for the collab, I think it'd be best to talk to each other via notes, rather than putting all this on one of my poems xD
