Description RARE!

I apologize in advance for this, but it had to be done. It's nice that I was able to modify the base to the point of being unrecognizable, but at the same time this made it very, very VERY hard to adapt it to new poses for/and movement. Truth be told: I honestly don't even remember which base I used for the head anymore for the first one: Sonic Advance or Sonic Battle?

In either case, I used the same process, the head is just a bit smaller now (it always seemed a bit large to me as it was anyway) and, HOPEFULLY, a bit easier to customize. To make up for this, when it's Sally turn in the rotation I will be doing TWO updates at a time until she catches up again.

It would also seem that have caught my sprites being used without my knowledge or permission for the second time. As such, I will no longer be accepting ANY Sonic-related sprite requests and if I see or find out about this happening a third time I will drop the project cold turkey.

THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING!

I think the hairdo is a bit different, and the movement seems smoother than the original.

But your sprites were stolen AGAIN? People don't respect artists the least if they think they can just take the works of others. I feel like a mix rage over the theft and fear of the cancellation of your but I would also fully understand your decision, even more so if something is stolen again.

Then you must have a very good idea because it is virtually the same (I don't think I could get it to be much more accurate in terms of shape considering I traced it from an official art of her and scaled it down from there) I just made it a few pixels smaller to compensate for the smaller head size.

Sadly, yes. And the attempt was even MORE blatant this time: they merely stole the frames from my animations and recolored them, claiming them to be their own with no mentioning of me at all this time whereas the other at least put my name (once) in a small text, though they still did not have my permission.

I was actually also considering asking if you would help me keep an eye out for any other thieves because of this. It's also looking like I'm going to SERIOUSLY have to consider looking at the "Watermark" feature of the program I'm using to animate these....

Maybe it's the smaller pixels. They might give the impression of higher resolution (makiing it look less "pixely").

The previous one credited you, but wasn't the same technique used? I mean, all the frames extracted and put into one sheet? After all, you did not publish the frame sheet.

Anyhow, the aggravation is obvious, since this time you were not even credited. Not to mention the sheer attempt.

Sure thing! Of course I'll keep my eyes out for art thieves.  I'll notify you whenever I discover something suspicious.

"Watermark?" is the question I ask myself every time I upload a picture. I don't want to disfigure my works, but then again I often think there's too much time and effort in it to make it that easy for thieves. Unfortunately, the concerns are not without reason.

Perhaps, but I was a little wary of trying to make it smaller at first because it would also mean less room for details and Sally is, unfortunately, one of the handful of characters with a uniquely shaped head/face and eyes so it makes it very easy to tell if it's done "incorrectly".

This is true, and part of me wonders if it wasn't the  same person. I can't recall since the first one seemed cooperative enough about removing the sheet, though it is still VERY fortunate I caught them before the moved onto any other characters.

I can also assure you that it is very aggravating, but at least the person didn't make matters worse by attempting to deny it when I called them out on it, they merely never responded which only confirms my accusation.

I knew I could count on you Naturally, I try to keep a lookout myself, but I also can't be everywhere at once, especially with how popular this project seems to be, which is also why it would be a shame to have to drop it, but if people cannot respect the idea of "look but don't touch" then I won't have much  choice...

Unfortunately, the watermark feature here doesn't seem to be an option  with animated images (or I Would have added it already with the updated Sally sprites and done so from that point on as well as going back to add it to the others) so in this case, I would add it using the "Animation Shop" I use to animate the frames. However, this also means disfiguring the animation as it is stored in my computer so, against my better judgement, I will let it go...

I noticed her head looks different, but I didn't think it was that different as pixel art. I guess for Antoine, Tails' head form as a base works, an Bunnie could be a similar problem as Sally: No completely Fitting base. But I think Sally looks fine the way you made her.

At least the person knew you as a source for sprites. Then again, they are public, and due to the popularity of sprite comics, I think there are numerous people looking for good sprites. Also without asking. Did the second person also comply on removing the stolen sprites? I guess the did not expect to be found by the original creator, given the size of dA.

You're welcome.  Nobody can cover everything alone, but I'll look out with extra attention, but the more eyes are on guard, the better, and hopefully I can be of help . The best would be if there are no further attempts, but the popularity, although a good thing, does have a disadvantage there.

Did you do a test how much the watermark feature of "Animation Shop" Looks? (If it's not too time consuming you could try it with a finished animation and store it under new file name). Maybe it's not too disfiguring. Admittedly, the ideas I have in my mind of watermarks in animations don't make it exactly look better. Sometimes risk can't be avoided.

The differences are actually more difficult to translate into pixels, especially when the sprites are this small because it makes it easy to notice if they are NOT included, however the tiny size makes it difficult to do so accurately. And you're exactly right that Tails (both head AND body, but I have made him two pixels taller) is my base  for Antoine, though I am having trouble remembering the exact process for Bunnie. The body, I assure you is Emerl because he proved to not only be the best for her robotic limbs but the rest of the body translated very well to her leotard. The head may have been heavily edited from Emerl as well with my own muzzle and ears added by, once again, manually scaling down a traced image.

I actually hadn't bothered to check since then, but now that you have reminded me I did check and I am happy to announce they have been removed. Of course, this still just confirms my accusation once and for all and it doesn't change the crime. I'll bet they didn't expect to be found out either, but now I have to wonder how they're going to explain why their "work in progress sheets" aren't going to happen anymore.

Of course it would be best if it didn't have to happen again, but again, this is the second time it's happened now so the extra pairs of eyes are not uncalled for.

I have tested it before, and I assure you its just as intrusive as any other watermark in terms of appearance. The other problem, though is that having an extra stationary layer over the moving sprite layer below might result in glitches in the image so I will just leave it as it is and HOPE the people can appreciate this.

The tiny size leaves no room for mistakes, especially missing parts are easy to see because they are missing if they are. Probably each Pixel is decisive. Not to mention there were many details for Antoine to add (but the result is as great as always ) Then Bunnie's sprite needed qute some work to make it from Emerl's, but you had the robot movent pattern.

Some good news after all, but the damage of morale and trust has been done. It's some relief the cover is not as good as the thieves expect, but it feels like weeding. I don't think they'll explain much, it's left to the audience to wonder or not think this far.

Be assuren, I'm on the watch.

I expected it to be intrusive, but the glitches are another problem I didn't think of. I'll keep my fingers cross it won't be necessary and theft will not happen again. By the way, you apparently found a way to include many different sprites you made in one single animation. It Looks nice, I just can't shake the thought it was something originally intended for Valentine's Day. One Animation unifying all the couples you tributed.

This is the dilemma precisely. The silver lining though, is that if some details are small enough one can simply include a simple pixel of the appropriate color and it will suffice because of the small size, so it can also be used to ones advantage The bigger issue I run into with Antoine is, as per usual, adjusting the head because this is where most of the details lie. The hardest part about his jacket is lining up the seam down the font and counting for the small split at the bottom. Bunnie is also difficult, just as you say but with a few base poses for the head complete it is easy to adjust these to account for more subtle tilts of the head but Sally was just not this forgiving for some reason.

And, unfortunately, you have hit the nail on the head again which  is why I must now be a little more harsher when it comes to my sprites. When the attempt is this blatant, it's a little difficult to hid. Even without zooming in I recognized the pose and the shape right away so to them all I can say is "nice try".

Oh no, it wasn't necessarily made for Valentines Day, it was just the only way I could think of to incorporate most of my favorite characters from all of my various fandoms into one.

I'm glad you think so because I was actually a little nervous about it but I just also wanted people to know that I'm serious about this and would like to ask that those who support me for this will help me keep an eye out if someone else tries to use my sprites without my permission.
