What better Pokémon to represent the Unova region than Rufflet and his evolution Braviary? He is based on the bald eagle, with a red-white-blue color scheme and Native American-styled feathers. Rufflet and Braviary are hot-blooded, courageous, and noble birds that never back down from a fight, no matter how wounded they get or how powerful their opponents are. These birds have a high Attack stat, with Braviary being strong enough to lift a car. The scars on his front makes him a respected warrior among his flock. To top it all off, Rufflet and Braviary are always male and were exclusive to the White version.

In Galar, Braviary’s aggressive personality makes him a poor choice of aerial transportation, so Corviknight provides taxi services instead. (Undoubtedly a subtle jab on the boorish side of Americans.)
