Photoshop's blur tool sucks. Took me 4 days and NO REFERENCES! Yay! Except to see what the mad hatters hat color was. xD

I think this is a very awesome take on Alice! I haven't yet seen a more diabolical one. The lighting and painterly style are really nice too. The only real issue I have, which I'm no genius at either is the perspective seems a bit off in the room, and the had etc. Also I think her legs are too long, and look a bit off balance with the rest of her body. If you drew through from her waist all the way down to her feet, she would have REALLY long skinny legs, that just look proportional or anatomically correct. Otherwise this is great!

I agree. I never bother with perspective and it shows. I knew the legs were too skinny but that adds to the evil, yet I don't like the shape. I think theheadis too big which throws the whole room off. Thanks for your feedback. Theres a chance iwill fix it XD

no problem! Just remember to draw through the entire drawing. I don't think its that the legs are too skinny, you can keep them like that to add to the creepyness, but if you look at where her knees start, they are too far down, to wear the rest of the leg goes. The knees would probably be up under the skirt if the skirt was that long, and just her calves would show. Either way, its good to learn from mistakes in your art, and perhaps move on and do it better in your next pic. I used ot have the issue with critiques where I would continue to tweak the same pic, but I think the best way is to just move on to your next one, and keep those things in mind. I'm glad you found my critique helpful! I have a lot of trouble with perspective at times too, and just have to push myself to do better with it.

I thought about that but I didn't want the shorten the skirt because I have such big issues with fabric. plus there are way too many slutty
Alices and that wasn't what I wanted.
I usuallydont rework pictures unless It's a proportion issue. I may fix the huge hat though.

No problem! Yea I think the skirt length is fine, but you just have to compensate with the leg length for it. Yea, I understand about not getting critiques, but I saw you asked for one, and I know how much that helped me in school, and in life. I checked through your others first before saying anything, and most people just said the equivalent of "oooh pretty." which never helps anyone haha. Its nice to get compliments, but its hard to get better if you can't see things objectively, and get someone to just say the good AND the what can be improved upon.

I gave up plus it keeps the painterly look. Once I take the time to manually blend it would look better but I get lazy. It's kinda unfinished. I forgot the 10/6 on the mad hatter's hat

i think the problem might be with using the blur tool...i find it's quite unreliable XD no harm with sharpness and detail, right? however i think this is really good especially considering you didn't used references, cos i can see every brush stroke there and i think it gives a really painterly feel. keep up the good work!

Gah I'm so stupid I had the brightness on my monitor really low. I was like wow this is much darker than I remember.

Yup so all my pictures end up fried when I use the computer at night. I really should keep my monitor consistent, but at night my eyes get tired so I lower it and keep going.

i keep the light on so that the room would be bright, that way my eyes don't hurt
