Description
Some plush donuts I've made to send to Cafe Kino to celebrate their 1 year birthday. I also plan to make a new plush cake to go with these, but this is what I've got so far!Made from felt and hand beaded with "sprinkles"
My dog was such a good sport and posed so cute with these two donuts (he was fascinated by them, but I'd not let him "eat" them), so I thought I'd share the pics - he's such a doll! [link] and [link]

And thanks! I got Oliver from a shelter when he was 6 weeks old. They knew for sure that he was part Border Collie, but they didn't know what other breed. There is a woman on the Craftster forums who saw Oliver, and she has a Brittany Spaniel that looks just like him, so I am guessing that he is part Brittany Spaniel as the unknown part of his mixed Border Collie breed

When I first saw this, I thought, "Why did they put donuts in the textile section?" But I enlarged it, and was AMAZED! What a clever project! My favorite is the one with colored sprinkles.

You sew the outer circle except for a small turning hole and cut out the center hole but don't sew it until AFTER you've turned it inside out. Then stuff, then close up the little turning hole, if that makes sense
I'm not so good at closing up the turning hole without it seeming (to me) very obvious and taking away from the very round shape of the donut, so I tend to try and make the icing just "happen" to dip down and cover that spot.

Hmm, interesting. I have a little pattern book of sweets (cakes, candies, donuts) but no directions so it's the one I haven't been able to make yet.
