This is my third bow pin and the last of this season, as now I'm into the Christmas based dress. Eumelia has not been forgotten (she's sitting next to me currently, in fact) and just needs her sleeves. But, seeing as the Christmas dress has an imaginary deadline and Eumelia doesn't, Eumelia will be slightly postponed. If you don't know what I'm rambling on about, please see my facebook, where all progress is posted. www.facebook.com/MakeItPinkEts…

So! This bow is done like the last two, reading from the pattern found in Japanese magazine "My Beads Style 16: Ribbon Parade" (in which the pages are read right to left). The flip-the-bow-upside-down-and-stick-the-ribbon-in still confused me, but I wasn't so surprised by it this time. It's fully 3D with the loops going allll the way around and the tails hanging through them. I wish I was keeping this one, but it's being sent away for the holidays! After Christmas there should be photos of it being worn. This one is a pin, but the pattern itself could easily be put on a necklace, hairclip, necktie, and so on!

Made with size 11 glass seed beads in silver-lined purple, transparent rainbow purple, and solid silver. The rainbow purple is, as always, impossible to properly photograph. It's the same purple I used in the Amethyst version of the herringbone dress:

The silver, I'm pretty sure, is from the stash of early days when I didn't know what I was doing. In other words, I think I need to buy new silver, because this one is almost surely going to rub off over time and become just clear beads. The whole thing is threaded together with purple Japanese One G nylon, using basic netting stitch and some peyote for the center.

I also did some heavy editing on this photo to get this result. Because, hey, I really need to make sure my presentation is the best it could be! The bow itself is untouched - the background is worked to eliminate most shadows.
