Description
After close to 6 years of development, my visual novel project is finally complete. You can download the full version here: pinlin.itch.io/darknightsI've been working so much behind the curtains; over 100 unpublished artworks I made in the past year. I want to thank the wonderful team of editors and proof readers for polishing the script & story.
I learned so much during the journey from working alone and later in a team. I couldn't have pushed the potentions of this project without you!
Story
You live in a small, peaceful village. Every day is the same as any other; boring. Right when you wish for something exciting to happen, strange things start to occur, stemming from the nearby forest. If that isn't enough, the locals have begun disappearing. At the same time you meet four mysterious guys. Will you discover the truth before becoming the next target?

The poses were based on the character's personality. Out of the main characters, I wanted to give at least one a strange pose.
The pose of the guy on the very right has slightly to do with his backstory. Maybe you'll find the link once you play his story!

I haven't posted many updates on dA, because it's a "side" project that I didn't want to overlap with the main things I post.

the scariest thing about this game was how many typos have haunted it- and may still haunt it-

I've heard that name mentioned once before, but not sure what is it about.
Is it similar because of the line up of characters?

It was just this old American movie from 1985 about 5 high school students who all fit the classic stereotypes of high school (rebel, princess, outcast, brainy,and jock), and they all get detention together. I didn't ever watch the movie, but I'm pretty sure that through the course of the movie they learn more about themselves and each other, and possibly leave at the end being better people? I don't know.

I remember a lot of stories referring to this as base. A classic concept.
Now you mention, I recall a memorable scene: where all of the 5 characters were having breakfast in various styles.
Each presenting their background/personality.
Even though Dark Nights has a school setting, most of the story explores the bigger world; there is a forest, a park,
mansion and more. The main characters barely get in touch with each other; some never meet. Each character
has their own unique storyline.
