Description The Project: Rooftop website is running another re-design costume, this time for everyone's favorite web-head.

This was actually an idea I had a while back for a more techie Spider-Man that I never did anything with; so I dusted it off, cleaned it up and sent it in as my entry.

I always like the idea of Peter Parker being a science based hero (the guy's a genius, really), and don't know why they don't play that up more. So this is him going the gadget route, incorporating a bit of the mecha-spider-arm idea from the "Iron Spidey" suit and making it his own.

I also figured he have more space for extra webbing refills this way too, so maybe he won't *keep* running out at the most inopportune times...

Thanks, Jamie! Appreciate the Fav as well. Your design looks pretty awesome too - lovin' the sci-fi/2099 feel to it.

Best of luck in the contest - looks like they're getting the largest turn-out for entries in quite a while, so there should be some pretty steep competition.

Yeah, that thing with the genius is right. He invented that spider web stuff, so why the hell isn't he able to design some awzum costume?

Exactly. Still don't see how he's always poor - you'd think he could've invented some other (non-spider related) things he could make some money off of.

very interesting and unique take man. yeh, peter is a scientist, why opt for tiny web shoots and leave his limbs so vulnerable. His bug face like mask creeps me out though. ^_^

Thanks, Leigh. Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the mask design. And maybe with a helmet he won't keep ripping his mask half-off and exposing his identity every time he gets in a fight.
