I think I'm pretty happy with this!

Now to just learn to apply this 'new style' (as little as it changed, it doesn't look like anime much anymore, except for mister mini here) to anything else I draw. I don't think that will be too hard.

SO.

As to go with the change of my drawing style, I'm making two major changes and a few minor changes to Jake to get him more up to date.

First and foremost, I'm removing his legs. I've drawn him alot lately with just his tail. He prefers to fly anytime, anywhere he could. In fact, he doesn't even really need legs. This is why he'll now have a permanent tail. Or ghost tail, as some like to call it.

Q: "But Spanex, what will he do if he can't fly?"
A: ...he'll crawl on his belly like a snake. Done!

The other major change is that he'll now have eye pupils, as shown in the image. This makes it easier for me to display emotions on him, and makes it easier for people to tell from his face how he feels, which I recall being a problem.

Minor changes:

Jake will have a pendant (shown in the pic). It'll contain powers to help him track emotion, but he won't always be wearing it.

Mini Jake won't change. I like him as he is now, and he was originally intended as a chibi. So yay, Chibiness.

A possible last addition is a scar somewhere on his tail. But I'm still thinking that through.

BY THE WAY, what do you think of my new shading technique? I like it alot.
