Description Here is another gouache piece. Had to leave it a bit of an unfinished study as I had to pack and catch the plane home. I added the lightest highlights with photoshop but will probably go back and hit those with the real deal just so I can have some piece of mind.

Was super interested in the colors on this one. A lot of subtle greys which I really suck at. Looks like the photographer was reflecting off of a white reflector sheet. The highlights were cool and there were places where the warm and cool colors were reversed correctly and other places where it was cool in the light and in the shade. Confusing trying to distinguish what is happening with that stuff sometimes.

this looks great. sounds pretty confusing, but i'm pretty sure you're doing an awesome job. i have me some gouache paints but haven't really used it, i think i'll try a hand at it. thanks for inspiring me :]

Very cool! You are achieving that Phillips effect, where she fades into the neutral value of the background, creating a very soft and pleasing environment. In contrast, I also really like the rich red color in the chair.

Nicely done, keep them coming!
