Teschen, whats that? I saw it on the other map with Germany, why wouldn't that area be part of one or more of the countries around it?

The Duchy of Teschen was a historical entity of mixed Czech and Polish etnicity and contested between these two states. In this timeline Teschen survived and became independent.

After reading about that place there were pretty clear divides between the Czech and Polish populations, unless somehow Teschen nationality develops it seems like it would have been divided here as well just like our world.ย

Like in our world the borders are not always drawn along linguistic lines. Here it was decided to keep the historical borders of the duchy, especially because it was the duchy of the King of the Czechoslovak Federation. That made the Germans, who were in charge of the borderchanges, give all of Teschen to Czechoslovakia.

"Poland becomes one of the most important and strongest nations on the European continent" - duh, without industrialized Greater Poland and Silesia and with ethnic tensions from Lwรณw to Odessa it would be quite difficult... but I still love it! \^.^/ it would be quite interesting to see a Poland without II world war rape...

Well, to be honest even when we had a king we were a Res Publica... Eagle without a crown was used in our history by far-left politicans.
