Description Lineart I did for a new banner TF Multiverse/The Lost Seasons project.

Inked by hand, the lines ultimately suffered a bit due to the fact that my scanner settings initially weren't correct. Nevertheless, I think it came out pretty well!

OK. Dude, When I first saw this, my first thought as I scrolled down the full-view was, "Is this something of Casey's???..."
'Nuff said.

I think the only thing I might suggest is remembering that we've come to expect TF's to proportionally have shortish thighs and comparatively huge lower legs; and this guy's are about equal.

You've been exploding with the awesome lately, and I'm just so darn proud of you. *sniff*

Thanks for the compliments Heather! Here's a dirty little secret: my main influences concerning my lineart are Guido Guidi, Casey (Ha!) and Nick Roche, the latter of whom also taught me that Transformers don't necessarily have to have excessively huge lower legs.

I used to draw my bots with HUGE lower legs a la Dreamwave, but I kind of moved away from that because I found it severely limited dynamic posing. That said, I agree with you that old Met's lower legs maybe could be a little bigger, but it's also because of the pose that this is working against him. How's that for an excuse? Haha.

Heh. I've had some people point out that his head was too big, since it's VERY small in the Fall of Cybertron game. If that's your reference point then yes, his head here may look odd, but this IS supposed to be his G1 self, and the proportions are about right. Hey, ya gotta draw the line somewhere

Those guys inspire me to work harder, get better and whip myself into absolutely merciless shape. I'm not there yet but I sure as hell intend to. But damn, did they ever set that bar HIGH.

I KNOW. But the cool thing is how all the TF artists nowadays seem to just be pushing each other to ever-better greatness. And it seems like everyone's willing to share knowledge. (Nick's not like, "Nobody but me is allowed to draw expressive faces!") This is just an awesome time. Keep on trukkin'!

Oh -- random question -- are you by any chance going to ever make it over to a US Botcon?? It's a huge cost, I know, but I wondered. (One of these days I need to save up enough to get over to a UK Auto Assembly to meet the Furmanator, the God Roberts, and Co.)

Oh, I plan to attend the 2014 Botcon, if all goes well. Would be awesome if you could make it to AA, I will definitely be going again next year!
