I just finished reading the new Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck collection and I wanted to make an updated version of the Hearts of the Yukon cover.Β I've heard varying things about Rosa's opinion of Ducktales old and new and I feel like I may be treading on thin Canadian ice. He is highly appreciated where I live and I have seven hardcover editions of his works (one even signed by him when he visited here)

I'm sure this isn't the first time I've had to say this, but only fanart of 1987 DuckTales should be allowed in , since that is the classic DuckTales. So I took the liberty of removing this from the group, which as a Co-Founder I am privileged to do.
Also, you should quit wanting to taint the good art style of DuckTales and Carl Barks with these inferior redesigns, if you want to think of yourself as being better than the people who have already been doing that with the reboot. What they're doing is no real update by any means.

Classic DuckTales? You really mean fanart of that god awful animated series from 80's that butchered Carl Barks's works is allowed, but a homage to Don Rosa, who faithfully followed the footsteps of Mr. Barks with his stories and expanded on them, is not? That's just sick.
Besides. The first duck comic 'The Son of the Sun' by Don Rosa was published in July 1987 in Uncle Scrooge #219, which makes his works even more classic than your 'Classic DuckTales'.
