These are lovely, manly men I enjoy the paintbrush.

I have a weakness for manly men, and also for Leonardo da Vinci. Epic history crush, there. XD
Thank you. >w<

Don't worry, I have the exact same historical squealy-love for Alexander the Great and Hephaestion.

Alexander the Great is my favourite historical character. I also like Friedrich II and Garibaldi.
Historical fangirling! <3

BAaaah I love ATG. Also, Freidrich the II is kind of sexy. MMM.... and Jadwiga. And FUCKING CHURCHILL

I've kind of gone off Churchill after learning how he treated Australia and NZ. Although he shipped USUK HARD, so that's a point in his favour.
Boudicca. Freaking Boudicca.

Ahhh... right, I mean, yes, every historical figure does have his bad points. And I agree, Churchill could be a right bastard. But yes, the shipping is what drew me to him We still often read about special relationships, even in college, and I ... still giggle like a child...

OH MAN. I just read a wonderful book about Boudicca and if my mind was any less of a seive I would tell you what it was called!!!!

I'm also quite enamoured by Jadwiga.

Nah, I like him because he made England fight, unlike Chamberlain.
Oh, I giggle ALL THE TIME, at EVERYTHING, not just history. The other day I was just walking through town and someone had written the Italian equivalent of 'Roddy I love forever and ever' on the wall. Epic PruAus moment.

I haven't been reading anything but fanfic lately. Shame on me.

Oh darling. Oh DARLING. Fanfiction is ALWAYS. I don't know how to read anything else... well that and gay romance (read: porn)

HAHA My favorite FAVORITE historical quote is "Let other nations wage war - you, happy Austria, marry!" And that is MY favorite PruAus moment XD

I used to read books once...

Pff, more like FrAus, SpAus, AusHun... Austria was such a manwhore back then. I love the idea of Prussia seething with jealousy without quite realising /why/.

Hahaha really, I am SO behind in finals thanks to books that I can't even deal with it...

Well, yes, it does make him a manwhore. But that delicious jealousy is, indeed, what drew me to the quote Their relationship is so fucked up and I just can't handle how happy it makes me XD Am I a bad person?

pixie-rings In reply to TamerLorika [2012-05-07 07:44:35 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, finals time, isn't it? I'm glad I left that behind me... Even if I had finished school I certainly wouldn't have been able to afford university. I think even higher education should be free.

I like the idea of them being pretty sweet in modern times. I think Gilbert's a closet romantic, really, and he'd be afraid Roddy would leave him. They still argue something terrible, though, Gilbert storms off back to Ludwig's and sulks in his room, Roderich tortures his piano. Three days later Gilbert appears with chocolate and flowers (bought with Ludwig's money, naturlich) and they both say sorry. Then they have hot make up sex. The end. /cool story bro

I think so too. Socialist countries have the right idea. I'm so up to my eyeballs in debt that it's not actually funny.

Their explosive relationship is a delight (especially your cool story) but damn, how painful.

Higher education should be free. Hell, healthcare should be free. But that's good ol' America for you. Capitalist to disaster and totalitarian by another name. Got to keep the masses unhealthy and ignorant, so we can control them through religion even better!

They can't live with or without each other. Water and oil.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TamerLorika In reply to pixie-rings [2012-05-15 23:22:00 +0000 UTC]

I agree with you, although not necessarily with the "controlling through religion" bit. I have friends who live in socialist countries, though, like, the good kind, like Denmark. It's LOVELY that they get paid a stipend and get to go to school and be PAID for it. There are some dangers of course, including quality of said education or increased competitiveness due to the fact that EVERYONE goes to college, but really, the benefits outweight the costs!

Sometimes I feel like it's less love and more of a necessity.

pixie-rings In reply to TamerLorika [2012-05-16 09:42:40 +0000 UTC]

Well, no. That's just certain percentages of the populace, isn't it? The stupid, crazy ones.
Well, Cuba may have too many faults to list (speaking of socialist countries) but literacy is 100%. Anyway, everyone going to college isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just means you have a more learned working class. Because a country can't function economically without some form of industry. Which is why cutting the cost of labour (but heightening transport costs) by moving all industry to China is going to be the downfall of Western nations. We're going to go bankrupt and grovel to China, India and Brazil in our poverty and misery.
...And how the hell did I get to monologuing on economics on an Assassin's Creed drawing?

It's a not-entirely-healthy mixture. They love each other, but there's a definite need. Each is the only one the other has left. If they don't turn to each other they'll be alone forever. Perhaps Austria is indeed the only thing keeping Prussia around now East Germany is integrated...

Hmmm... Ci hanno già pensato.

Beh, é Leonardo, deve dipingere, no?

Com'é stato il tentativo realistico? Riuscito o fallito?

PrincesseDeLamballe In reply to pixie-rings [2012-04-30 20:00:26 +0000 UTC]

Non sono stata originale. Lo immaginavo. XD Ma li ricordano davvero tanto.

pixie-rings In reply to PrincesseDeLamballe [2012-04-30 23:06:09 +0000 UTC]

Oddio, non hai mai visto El Dorado? Male, malissimo! É fantastico, devi reperirlo in qualunque modo!
In effetti sì, li ricordano. Non é colpa loro. XD

Cerchi di allontanarti dallo stile manga? Be', buona fortuna allora. X)

PrincesseDeLamballe In reply to pixie-rings [2012-05-04 19:29:07 +0000 UTC]

XD

Fa niente. Amore platonico. ♥

O.o No!

PrincesseDeLamballe In reply to pixie-rings [2012-05-05 19:32:09 +0000 UTC]

Sì, piacerebbe anche a me.

Entrambi. Ci sto lentamente riuscendo.
