eh hehe...sadly it is a design we came up with ourselves, and not even we know how we put it together-lol. we made a bunch the folded triangles and randomly stuck them together until they started shaping out the phoenix we wanted

yea those are all the same triangles we used for the whole sculpture, well except the wings, ahaha we just cut out thosewe used would put the triangles into each other in different ways, if that makes sense. i think you can find the tutorial to make the triangles online.

hahaha actually..no we kinda randomly put it together as we went along...all you do is fold the paper in a origami type triangle and keep connecting them until they resemble a part of a bird Lol! sorry there isnt any online instructions...we didnt like the designs we found online so we did our own. oh, btw, nice to see u on DA again! it's been a while

lol thanks didnt think anyone would miss me and uve had plenty of moral support from ur other watchers in the mean time : ) yeah i havent been on a while but i finally drew a picture im happy with so i ressurected my account and put it up.. check it out if u have time: ) its the sylvanas 3.3 model one...
still havent figured out how to shade but i guess some experimenting will solve that problem..

lol! i shall go check it out i'm glad ure putting up more stuff on DA-u got a talent that shouldnt be neglected. ooooo...shading...the dreaded 's' word...yes well the best thing to do when u start off is to pick a light source. easiest is the normal 3 quarter angle top lighting. experiment with a basic shape first to get the feel of how the shape would cast a shadow with the light source will help later when u apply it to a human face. another way to get the hang of shading is references! oh yes they help loads! studying and drawing enough from ref pics will also give u more understanding of where to apply shadow. gosh...i sound like my figure studies lecturer without the asian accent...lol i'm sure u'll get the hang of it soon!
