Another Lore of Steel illustration - the Totemist.I fought with this one a little more than I'd care to admit. D: Eventually, I made it bend to my will and do what I wanted... which just goes to show... drawings, you better do what I ask, because otherwise I will make you do it. All that happens if you mess me around is it takes longer.
So bear that in mind, drawings. I won't tell you again!
I've had this fight with computers too, and I always win that one: what makes you think you are different, drawings? Don't make me do shouting at you!...yeah, actually this was 90% fun and about 10% shouting. I probably just shouldn't try to work when I'm tired.

Is the skullmask based on any animal in particular, or just total effect?

I believe (but don't quote me on this, it was a while ago) that was very roughly based on a sabertooth tiger. But changed quite a lot, because eye-holes and such don't line up properly with a human face.

Yeah, most animal skulls aren't designed on the same bone proportions as human, so the only way to get a really well-fitting skull mask would be to kill a bigger-headed human of your general racial type.
(I'm not talking about social/skin races, just the three basic skull shapes that forensic anthropologists use in identification: Asian, African, and Caucasian, because they have different bone structures/proportions.)

Ooooo, I like his mask. I like it very much. And the chains. The chains are good too.
