I'm thinking Phoebe and Harvey are in college and are off for the summer and get asked by the coven to spend some time in an area and scout it out to see if it'd be a good location for other coven members. Oops the Ferringtons are living there. Bit of a problem.

*We start at a rental house. A car pulls into the driveway. The driver, a young Asian man who appears to be college aged, looks over at a young woman in the passenger seat. She has dark hair and very pale skin with freckles.*
Harvey: Is this the right address?
Phoebe: It appears so. *turns to look at Harvey as well* Do you need me to go over anything before we go in?
Harvey: *almost as if reciting* The official story is that we're staying here over the summer to help out one of your relatives. What we're actually doing is scouting out the town. We're supposed to look for any immediate signs that the area has been claimed as territory by anything strange or otherwise not human. If we find something that appears friendly we're to attempt negotiations, if it appears hostile we're to back off. If the situation ends up becoming too dangerous, call the coven for back up.
Phoebe: I'm holding you to the last parts. Try not to rush into any dangerous situations?
Harvey: *rolls his eyes but smiles a little* Got it. *gets out of the car*
Phoebe: *does the same*

*It's an average day at the Ferrington house. Veronica and Lysander were out and Jessica was put in charge. She was looked away in her froom as always leaving her youngest siblings, Rodney and Felicity to bicker. Zeke decided to pass some time with some hunting*
Zeke: *opens the back door* I'm going out!
*no answer*
Zeke: Okay! See you later! *runs out the door and into the woods*

*After dropping off their things in the house, Harvey and Phoebe decide to start investigating.*
Harvey: *walking towards the door and steps out* The neighborhood seems nice enough? More rental houses like ours, but there's permanent residents nearby.
Phoebe: *heads out of the house as well* True. We tend to settle in suburban areas. Friendly neighborhood group and all that.
Harvey: Maybe we should check those woods? *It's a new housing development so there's woods still around, especially a few houses over* I remember there being a lot of weird stuff in the woods behind Misery High.
Phoebe: Good idea. *starts going towards them*
Harvey: *follows*

Zeke: *running through the woods. He hopes that there's a deer near by. He wants something big.*

Phoebe: *walking through the woods along with Harvey and listening and smelling around.*
Harvey: Would we cover more ground if we split up? I can look for things like strange tracks or killed animals, you can smell and hear things out?
Phoebe: *pauses to consider this* We would. I am, however, going to stay close enough that I can hear you in case anything happens.
Harvey: Good plan! *starts going ahead*
Phoebe: *goes a bit in the opposite direction, making sure that he isn't out of range*
(And I'm guessing Zeke has stronger senses than Phoebe because he actually eats?)

Zeke: *sniffs the air to see if there's anything interesting to kill. Weird. He's getting something but it's not a deer. He follows the scent to see what it is.*

Harvey: *walking along still. Okay, why aren't there signs of animals anywhere? Shouldn't there be something? Or did they get frightened off?*
Phoebe: *walking along as well. Nothing...Hm*

Zeke: *running along, following the scent. It's getting stronger. Whatever he smells it's close.*

Phoebe: *Ditto. Zeke hasn't gotten in her range yet.*
(Question though, is he smelling Phoebe or Harvey? Because Phoebe I imagine it'd be like "okay why does this smell a little like me?" and Harvey it'd be like "Yes dumb hiker! Food time.")

Phoebe: *walking along when - ...okay that's an interesting smell. It almost smells like her and the other vampires except more ... mammalian? Wait, it's moving towards-* *quietly to herself* Really? -.-; *starts running towards Harvey*

Phoebe: *Fuck, it's moving faster than her. Maybe she should try yelling? Wait, Harvey would probably hear that and freak out, and the thing would go after her and - no, just keep running and get whatever this thing is away from him once she gets there.*
Harvey: *stops and looks. Did he just hear something?* ...Phoebe...?

Zeke: *He can see him now. It is a human. What a dumbass, just standing there. Wait. He smells something else. Another human? No, it's different. It smells like...one of his kind. No, that couldn't be. It doesn't smell like any of his family. A drifter? Well he'll just have to take care of that too.*

Harvey: *and now he can't hear or see anything. Maybe he was imagining it then? No, Harvey, don't just stand there. You should do something like - ...Well I assume they have a gun somewhere in the house but naturally he wouldn't have brought anything like that on the hike. Dumbass.*
Phoebe: *growls. If this thing is heading towards Harvey because it can smell or hear him, then it should be able to hear or smell her too right? So why isn't it backing off?!*

Zeke: *He still smells the strange vampire. Are they hunting the dumbass hiker too? Oh no they don't! That human is his! Besides, he'll need energy to take on the vamp. He runs at Harvey and pounces.*

Phoebe: *rushes in, snarls* Would you mind getting off of my fiance?

Zeke: *On top of Harvey, ready to bite him until...* Huh? *looks up and sees Phoebe. That's the vampire? She looks so...small. And weak. This should be easy. He looks again at Harvey and then at Phoebe.* Fiance? You have some kind of fetish for food, I assume?

Harvey: *a bit amused by that. Ha, food fetish? Please, it's more like the opposite. A food squick.*
Phoebe: Yes, fiance. *looking over Zeke as well. Late teens, modern looking clothing and hairstyle. Well, the hair is both modern and stupid looking. Based on that she'd assume that he was changed recently. But he's too fast and his senses are good for a newborn. What's more likely is that he was changed awhile ago and is simply very up to date with the fashion trends. He's probably stronger than her, she'd have to think of a strategy to take him down in a fight.* Which is why I'm asking for you to get off. *Yeah just, try for negotiating first. Even though she kind of WANTS to fight him. That wouldn't be the smart thing*

Phoebe: To the second point though, I would prefer non violent negotiations, if possible. *Of course that ain't gonna happen if you don't LET HIM GO.*

Phoebe: *Well since you were nice and seem to be letting Harvey go,* Phoebe Mortman and Harvey Moon of the Albescu coven. If you haven't heard of it, I'm assuming it's because you're not exactly ... like us.
Harvey: *Which is weird because he remembers those being those other vampires at Misery High his first year, but this guy doesn't seem like one of those either? So that's, what, three species of vampire now? How many are there?*
(I'm kind of wondering if the Albescu coven has a reputation for being completely off their rocker. Like "They're led by a little kid." Or "They got in a war with leprechauns of all things!" or "They almost got taken down by some guy with an Oedipus complex.")

I'm sure my parents would know. *pretty much throws Harvey at Phoebe* Follow me. *walks through the woods, keeping a close eye on those two. He's never heard of their coven, and why would they allow a human in? Perhaps this girl is a different species from him. That would make sense considering he had trouble figuring out her scent. He'll be watching them closely until he knows for sure what their plans are.* So what brings you out here?

(Ha, difference in coven policies, I just realized. Zeke's coven is under the council which we know doesn't like human mingling much, to the point of killing over it. Phoebe's group, however, doesn't have an official "leader" and so they don't have any official policies ruling against human mingling. In fact, they'll mingle with a lot of humans.
But I assume the rule is "As long as you don't end up accidentally causing us to be exposed to everyone, you do whatever the hell you want and we'll just leave each other alone"?)
Harvey: *following after Zeke, glances at Phoebe, figuring that she should answer this*
Phoebe: In the area in general or the woods specifically? *curious about this species as well. Like, why does he smell a bit like a ... bat ... vampire bat ... interesting...*

Um, nope!* As I mentioned, my coven sent us to scout out the area. A few other members are hoping to move soon to a nice peaceful area without any sort of strange things.
