The back-story behind it is kinda odd. Y'see, there's an AU wherein Celestia's the one that went crazy leaving Luna to run things in her absence. When the Tyrant Sun (in this TL named Corona instead of Daybreaker) returned, a different group became Elements while the analogues of the Mane Six are second-tier characters.
