*gasps with fatigue*I can't believe I finished it! My entry for 's contest~~ The deadline is tomorrow, so I had to work extra hard to finish it today! (I have loads of homework but I've been neglecting them hurhurrr)
I thought I'd go with the "Mythology/Costume" theme and give it a twist. Here's Kero's main characters from their original yaoi comic, "Oh, Brother!", Umi, Eiko, and Lia in school uniforms! (The only type of attire I can draw without failing epically XD) I also drew them younger than they appear in the comic because, well, they're supposedly in school here. AAAAND I wanted to depict a cute comical situation in which Umi is dragging Eiko off to somewhere and Lia is suspicious of his intentions. (Everyone knows Umi likes Eiko~~ ehehehehehehe~~~~
) Because they're younger than they are officially, I also took the liberty of changing their hairstyles a bit to look more like students~ Umi (orange hair) has shorter side bangs with no beads on them, Eiko (blue-black) has his long hair tied up in a ponytail, and Lia (brown) has her hair a bit shorter than it is originally. 83I ALSO tried "fake screencap"-style art for the first time! You know, the kind of art that looks like it was screencapped from an anime? I do admit I went over the top and did my shading/backgrounds too detailed for it to look like an anime screencap, but I like how it turned out anyway~ AND WHILE WE'RE AT IT, LET'S CONTEMPLATE ON WHAT UMI WAS TRYING TO SAY IN THE SUBTITLES BUT NEVER GOT TO FINISH. WHAT WORDS START WITH F AND U? HMMMMMMMMM....
It may look like 'fun' at first...
but it could be 'fuel'... or 'fudge'...
or maybe 'fulminating powder'...
or 'fuming nitric acid'...
or it could just mean 'firetruck' XD*SHOT*
Done in Paint Tool SAI, taken about 3 days on and off

Nice that you got this done on time. Actually I had no idea you were going for the screencap look, but now that you mention it I think I can see some of that in the composition. It's a well done piece though.
I wonder why Lia is so upset? XD And I didn't think of it at first but you're right the cut off text could be a number of things, nonsensical things even. Or it could be taken as completely lewd. XD

It's because Lia's afraid Umi will do something to Eiko, and she's got every right to be so XD Lia is close to Eiko and I thought she'd be protective of Eiko's....virginity. XD

You know, given the detail it COULD look like a CG screencap from a visual novel!
Also wow Eiko's head looks a tad big there, haha! Your hand poses are always so great gaaah how do you draw hands so well!

Hmmm, you've got a point there~ I've never tried visual novels before but they're really detailed as far as I know. (My art will never get to that level otl)
ME AND MY HEAD PROPORTIONS THEY WILL RULE THE WORLD you know how hard it is to match head size XD all my chibis have different proportions everytime I draw em..!

I was searching words that start with f and u in the dictionary and just couldn't resist using Fuming Nitric Acid. XD
Fulminating powder seems to be some sort of explosive thing. Ooh, they'd better not have THAT. XD
