I'd seen that documentary -it was in the Discovery Channel I think- where they imagined giant baloon animals gently floating in a gas giant's upper atmosphere. I wanted to add a bit of action in such a scenario...

The very idea of air-based life is so intriguing and crazy. One would never think aliens like so would exist in such an extreme environment like at the atmosphere of a Gas Giant.
