Well this is the results of my trip to California to the artist workshop. I've had ideas for sculptural lamps floating around in my head for the past 2 1/2 years. Ive drawn these ideas out but could not quite figure out how to bring them about. I went and bought some reed that i knew i could use for the frame work about a year ago, but still couldnt figure it all out. So one day im online i see this artist work and realize hes doing exactly what im wanting to do. So i contacted him and found out he was giving a workshop. So as you can see i went i saw i made. I've called this one Number 1 because it is just that the first of many other creations yet to come using this technique.Related content

well i have tried to do the same with tissue papaers. it show's patches after drying..
i must say your work is flowless..

Number 1 I will not be selling I may attempt to make one similar but not exactly the same as for the others yes they are for sale.

thank you. Yes thats one of my hopes actually. I just yesterday hung 3 pieces in an architecture firms street level window and certainly hope it generates some contacts and leads to furniture stores and interior designers.

About your cord situation mentioned earlier, I remember seeing another deviant's leather sculpures a while back, with some very creative lamps too. Maybe you could go search her out for some iders on how she concealed some of her cords - sorry the name escapes me now. Have fun with the other elements your working on!
