Bio:
Asao was born with pale skin, red eyes and red hair. Coupled with his small stature and girly features, the kids in his neighbourhood used to pick on him. Growing up wrestling with the boys, Asao soon toughened up and lost his girly features, which he traded in for a perpetual scowl on his face. However, because of his forever-angry face and fighting record, Asao gained a reputation as a demon, with classmates (and even teachers) calling him Oni Asao instead of Onitsuka Asao. His face often lands him in trouble, with gangsters picking fights with him and teachers pinpointing him as the bully. Asao is actually a very gentle boy who likes helping others, but he tends to get misunderstood, so he started to shun away and became more and more socially awkward. His bad temper didn't help either. Delinquents that he'd defeated follow him around and call him BOSS (which he hates), and since they're his only friends, he's always trying to make them turn over a new leaf, while they're trying to make him head honcho of their respective gangs.

Asao aspires to become a doctor like his dad and devotes all his time to studying (since he doesn't have friends to hang out with anyway LOL). He wishes to become someone useful to others, and has a very strong sense of righteousness. He's also a huge romantic who really, really wants to find a cute girl or boy who he can call his soulmate. In senior year of high school, Asao had gathered his courage to write a letter to his crush the day before graduation, asking her to meet up on the rooftop. However, the girl brought along her very fierce mother who gave him a good beating instead, because she thought he was going to extort money from her. OTL;;;

Taking up his younger sister's advice, Asao started reading shoujo manga and playing visual novel games to get a better understanding of what girls like. He tried to use the same lines as the male protagonists in real life, but it never works out because people misinterpret his intent with his scary face. Then, he discovered Virtual Stage, where he can be the gentle guy that he aspires to become, and where people are not afraid of him because of his face.
