O....M....G.... I have wanted to do a ROUGH-N-TOUGH version of Rogue for FOREVER.... I finally felt like I had the skill to pull it off. This has taken weeks of here and there work....I am quite pleased with this result!!
It felt like everywhere I looked at a photomanip she was just posing, or flying. I wanted to portray her ATTITUDE! Her STRENGTH!
She IS my favorite character, after all! (No thanks to the live action movie that destroyed her character in so many ways!)
So, no, I cannot really draw, so it required ALOT of stock to make EACH SHAPE.

I haven't read too many comics with Rogue in them(I know, shame on me), but she is damn epic, and this is just awesome!

And, yes, the 1990s version Rogue was the best when she had permanently retained Ms. Marvel's powers - super strength, flight. She wasn't a scrawny, wimpering weakling like Paquin portrayed in the movies. Rogue may have cried or moped in her past over her inability to touch others, but Rogue Does NOT Wimper!! Rogue is a FIGHTER!!
And she's about to throw a sentinel's head at some soldiers here!

Different incarnations of the X-Men franchise have made it so that no, she cannot fly and doesn't have super strength, she cannot do the things that she could when she absorbed Ms. Marvel's powers. I stopped paying attention at that point - and have a distaste for the green and white costume she had, and the moody teenage cartoon version, as well as the crappy version portrayed in the live-action movies.

Ah, that's interesting! As I said, I've been out of the comic book world since my fave character was deconstructed. At one time, I heard she had the power to remember and then recall powers she had used in the past, no longer requiring her to be in physical contact with the person again once she absorbed the basic "how-to" of another mutant's power. When I heard that, I thought - that would be neat!

I agree completely with her character being ruined by the live-action movies- they made her weak and helpless...which is such a contradiction.
