as i said before, its based on an image of the Nasa page, and then I work over it.

I think I'm the one who needs advise, haha, I've tried making a galaxy once and it came out terribly. If you look at my piece "Single Spoken Sentence", I have a galaxy in there that you can see. But not nearly as good as this one. Mind giving me a little advice? Besides the center of the galaxy, how'd you make the arms and such? All the blue gaseous arms?

The fact that this IS your second attempt is just baffling because that is one amazing looking galaxy. Did you use any Tuts?

nop, but the galaxy is based on an image of a hurricane taken from NASA.

I actually don't mind the patterning myself, I think it helps the piece, that's just my opinion though.

What I do see a lack of still, is there doesn't seem to be any ambient lighting. Look carefully at the surrounding space and you may see something odd.

It's definitely a big improvement.

Massive increase in your skillz! I'd just would like to add that you should try to avoid the use of a 'patterned' brush effect. The white brush effect looks very uniform and take away very much of the overal effect the galaxy has as a whole. Great work Pogona!
