Description A love of gardening spawned this tribute to the ebb and flow of nature. This was created with a combination of fine point Sharpies and Prismacolors.

This work is intended to be viewed from any horizontal or vertical preference. Most of my work is executed by turning it continuously throughout the process.

I really have to agree with fall as well.....your colors, not only are just hollistic and vibrant, but are so varied. It is as though you have shunned rhyme and reason for something both more fomulaic and more freeing. It is almost a wonder to just look at your work because it really does look like you described, a style re-emerging.

(oh yeah, a daily deviation is one of a few works selected out of the 18 million or so to be displayed for the entire day in a special page)

this is a huge community, and in the five years i have been a member here, i can't ever remember seeing a style similar to yours. After spending the summer in rural france, i wanted to include a lot of nature in my manipulations, but wanted drawn flowers and plants instead of straight up photographs, to give an image a little variation. Your curves are brilliant, the same goes to your flowers and leaves. i'm going to have troublke picking favourites out of all these images... thanks for sharing.

fall.

Hi fall....it has taken me awhile to get around to responding to your post. Your words are very encouraging. After many years of realistic work, I had to make the turn to more introspective creations. I do work in jewelry, collage, mixed media also, but drawing seems to be the most natural medium for me. Even back in high school art classes, these types of shapes and forms would flow rather naturally out of my pens and pencils. Then after attending art school, it seems I took other paths and sort of lost my own style. It's just now reemerging and it feels better than ever! I love your work with leaves and flowers. I'll be watching you! Susan

Someone needs to make you a daily deviant.

Hi...I don't even know what a daily deviant is at this point, but it sounds like something to aspire to! Thanks for all of your kind words. Susan
