Lady Ran (Mother of the Sea) Norse Goddess of storms and drowned dead. Wife to Lord Aegir, Norse God of the ocean and king of the sea creatures and together have nine daughters who personify the waves. Lady Ran has a net with which she tries to capture men who ventured out on the sea. The sea was also referred to as "Ran's road".
