Went to Thorpe Park today- veeery glad I took a camera!This is the exit of 'Tidal Wave', the puddle is because the huuuuge splash of the water ride reaches right out to it.
I love stripes.
I love reflections.
I love shadows.
I think I actually gasped when I saw this little scene emerge!
The figure is my friend Flora who was waiting for me to catch her up to meet the others.
We went on Tidal Wave 5 times in a row as there was basically no queue and were ABSOLUTELY drenched

The great part is how after hitting the water, the boat continues to move and then the water all lands on top of everyone. You think for a second 'wasn't that bad a splash!' and then it lands on you! Brilliant...
Also, what bugs me is it seems a little crooked.. but it actually isnt, it's Flora's slanted lean that makes it seem unbalanced, and slight rotation just makes everything else seem really off, so I left it... editing was basic curve adjustment and a little dodging.

I love that ride! It's great how you look around as the wave is shot up and can't see anything but a wall of water all around you...that promptly crashes down on your head. Great shot capturing the mood of the place here

yes! it's so awesome! you think "Hmm... I'm not THAT wet..." and then the massive splash lands on you after a few seconds of delay and it's like "AHHH!"

Brilliant composition! The black and white contrast highlights the stripes, reflections and such very well.
I like the different aspects in this piece. Altogether, it creates a great effect.
