I was originally going to put off doing Galar, because it's shiny and new and there's lore. BUT THEN THE ANIME DID A THING AGAIN, SO HERE WE ARE. Galar.

After being beaten by Ash Ketchum, and then by Victor in the Galar League soon after, our version of Leon did some re-evaluating, and decided to take some time for himself, and a certain redheaded Professor. After that, and the kerfuffle with Rose, he took over as Chairman of the Galar League, still very much beloved by his fans, his definition of a Champion Time has become less about him showing off for the crowd, and more about ensuring as many of his guests as possible have a good time in his stadiums. Oddly enough, this has led to a surplus of new Trainers, more than he ever inspired when he was still the 'Unbeatable Leon'.

That doesn't mean he doesn't want his World Champion title back, though. He and Ash have clashed at the past few World Tournaments, once with no clear winner in a dual KO, and then again, only to have their match interrupted by a certain trio of idiots, that ended up being the final time they bothered Ash, as it turned out. This upcoming World Championship is one that Leon intends to finally reclaim for himself, but enough time has passed by now that the field of Trainers has yielded some fresh competition. Time will tell how the aging Chairman handles the young-bloods.
