Description Froakie (Regional Form)

Poison

Ugly Frog Pokémon

Due of its adaptation to living in swamps, this Regional variation has developed unique behavioral traits. Unlike its Kaloian counterpart, who has a bright and pleasant temperament, the Poison-type Froakie is solitary and melancholy, which is mirrored in its craggy, toxic appearance. Due to its dark coloring, this Pokémon is best hidden in thick vegetation or in muddy waterways where it can remain undetected. In order to make itself seem bigger and more menacing to would-be predators or competitors, it puffs up its neck frills when it feels threatened. As a warning, the frills may produce a gentle, toxic vapor to keep others away.

Regional Froakie’s design is based on the poison dart frog and the hairy frog. Its evolutionary line is based on the fairy-tale Beauty and the Beast. When it evolves into Frogadier, it sheds its ugly appearance halfway before shedding them completely into its final form.
