Description I drew this in early February of...um...I think '04 (sophmore year). If I recall correctly, this is the last time I used Crayolas (I recieved a set of 48 Prismas for Valentine's day from my mom. Thanks, Lilschmoopie!! )

Chihiro and Haku are done in Crayolas, the blue is done in a Prismacolor Art Stix and one marker of unidentifiable, unnotable brand. Man, why am I even posting this as a deviation? This is pathetic...

Thanks! It would have been much more brilliant if I'd had Prismas at the time, but alas, this was a good two weeks before my first Prisma-age, and was thus relagated to the patheticness that is Prang. ;_;

"Prismas" is short for "Prismacolor Pencils", which are professional quality and oh so lovely. Don't feel bad about being clueless; usually only hard-core colored pencillists know the brand, much less the abbreviated pet name.

Oh, Ok... Then I need some because I'm not that good at photoshop... ^^

Be forewarned--they do not come cheap. They average over a dollar per pencil even in the sets. But personally, I think they're worth it!

Ah, Photoshop...I love PS, but it takes so much practice, and I am such a perfectionist, that it takes me months to get anything done in that medium. That's why so much of my gallery is in Prismas.

I understand and I might have to order them online... because I live in one heck of a redneck town..... I'm about the only person in my area that has brodbad and a desent comp.

And about photoshop Kinda sorta..... didn't really buy it But, who would pay 600$ for a program thats only on one disk?

Yeah, I didn't buy my copy of PS either...I kinda mooched it...

Well, if your town has an art store of any sort, odds are they have Prismas. Keep in mind, some stores keep the larger sets like the 98 and the 120 () behind the counters. And if you do get them online, I've heard eBay has some better-than-retail deals, so much so that I kinda wish I'd gotten mine there.

But you know about ebay... you ask for 100 you get 50....

Well, it depends on the seller. And it's kinda hard to pull that off with Prismas--just look for a set in the original shrinkwrap.

Thanks! Did you have the oppurtunity to see Miyazaki's newest movie, Howl's Moving Castle? He's such a brilliant director! *sigh* Strangely, that's what really introduced me to anime too; Love Hina introduced me to manga. O_o Yeah, a little wierd for a first one, but oh well.

I haven't seen that one yet... is it out on DVD? I remember seeing a preview for it and thinking it looked awesome.

No DVD yet, and the theatrical release was limited. Stupid Disney people! They're the marketing monsters, and yet when something as brilliant as Howl's comes along, they don't give it nearly the push it deserves. I'll check the release date of the DVD while I check the theatrical release date of Corpse Bride and relay the data to you, okies?

Isn't it BRILLIANT!!??? I wanted to see his newest movie, Howl's Moving Castle, in theatres, but there was only ONE in my ENTIRE STATE playing it, and my grandma didn't want to go that far for a movie. (Like the movie was the only thing we could've done there! *Snort* It was in the biggest mall in the state! We could've made a day trip of it. Stupid, string-pulling grandma).

Oh, something like 45 minutes. I think she just wanted to pull my strings. She likes to do that to people; it's very frustrating.
