This one feels like they'd try to fix stuff but inadvertedly end up destroying more in the process perhaps without even noticing bc maybe human technology isn't really their expertise but one wouldn't dare to tell them out of politeness or fear.

i always wonder why that doesn't happen more in old fairy tales about brownies and things who are supposed to 'help' humans. fairies get offended at the drop of a hat for practically nothing, things that are completely innocuous to humans! what do they know about what humans want?
