Description
March 2009Quetzal's daughter Xocalatl (chocolate in nahuatl). I wound up drawing her a bit older, and decided to just go with it. While playing I tried the 'chocolate dribble' markings and they just added something really nice, again, so I just went with it. XD

They've already been made permenant with her molt into her juvenile age category. I thought that they added something that she really needed.

And, I gotta say, I find it so fun to watch how she and Tatsu grow up! XD I remember their first little hatchling drawings!

^^ It feels strange growing them older, but so many children on the DC just seem to have grown up over a couple of years. So I put them at an age where they are old enough to roleplay without having to be forced into 'child' rps, and young enough to still be considered children. (They are somewhere around 13-15 in human years.)

Aduial and Aara grew up pretty quickly too, right?
The age group you put them at is very good- that way they can talk with adults and start acting, "adultish" but, they can still act as kids! c:
I wish I could see a size comparison to their mom (and their uncle! XD ) It could be a family portrait!

Not that I'm complaining, because I *love* that your Neo characters are making a bit of a return, but I thought you weren't going to make Quetzal and Yasa's hatchlings' pictures public after the theft crisis.

(They were stolen within one day after showing them you know, only one day to spoil everything. :-/ )

Thanks, that was the look I was going for. Quetzal's species can be pretty much any colour, but usually they are brighter, bird-like colours with black, grey and browns being very rare.
