Prince Ameer, first born of Queen Uru and her consort Prince Ahadi. He's hiding in the grass, waiting for one of his traps to spring.

Scar, or Ameer, as he was known before his face was marked, was born before his brother Mufasa. Despite being the crown prince as tradition dictated, Ameer was born small and sickly and was not expected to survive. His mother Uru didn't even name him and passed the cub to his father while she focused all her attentions on the bigger, stronger cub. Ahadi named his son Ameer, which means "prince or ruler", because he didn't lose faith he would make it. And the orange cub survived and prospered. Despite his health improving, he never grew as large as his brother and had to work twice as hard at everything to please their very strict mother. Ameer made sure to sharpen his mind and skills in manipulation to get ahead. There was always rivalry between his brother and him, but during brighter times, this only manifested as pranks and mock fighting. It wasn't until their mother declared Mufasa her heir that sibling rivalry devolved into something much darker....for both of the Queen's sons.

I haven't drawn Scar in YEARS. I think I've only drawn him a handful of times. This would be like the 4th. He has such an odd face structure. But it's unique. TLK style is hard.
