Description
After brief hiatus, we're back with the 3rd fight of the tournament!
In the blue corner, we hailing from Japan, we have Ryoko Takeda! She'll be facing her opponent in the appropriately coloured red corner, Crimson Uppercut!

Round 1:
Both fighters met in the centre of the ring, Ryoko greeted her opponent with a wide grin while she herself was sized her up with a steely glare, Crimson was already planning the best strategy to take her down. The two boxers tapped gloves, and the fight began!
*DING DING*
Ryoko hugged her guard close to her chin as they began circling eachother, watching her opponent's stance for a decent opening to use to her advantage. Crimson did the same, carefully going over a strategy in her head. She started by firing a couple of jabs towards Ryoko's head, testing how quickly she'd react.
Ryoko held her guard and blocked her jabs with relative ease, but got a sense of how strong Crimson was, the impact of her fists causing her gloves to bop her on the chin. She decided to try and get the edge by going in first. She ducked down below Crimson's fists and fired a straight right to her exposed abs.
Crimson saw her duck down and instinctively stepped back, moving out of Ryoko's range. She countered with a right hook to the side of her head. As Crimson's fist connected with the side of her head, she saw stars for a brief moment before backing away and raising her guard before she could get anymore hits in.

Ryoko was backed into a corner, but didn't want to give the impression she was on the back foot, levelling out her shoulders as Crimson pressed the advance. Crimson closed in on Ryoko, hoping to trap her in the corner and get an early knockdown. As she closed the gap between them, she fired a left hook towards her head. Ryoko saw her punch coming and ducked down to the right, her punch sailing over her head. She threw a right hook to Crimson's side, getting her to grunt in pain before coming back up. She saw the red equestrian try to catch her out with a hook from the other side. Ryoko ducked down the left and threw another hook to the ribs, getting Crimson to grunt with frustration as she tried to back up. As she snapped back up to her full height, Ryoko slipped a right uppercut through Crimson's guard and caught her on the chin.

Crimson didn't see it coming, her eyes widened as Ryoko's fist caught her on the chin, snapping her head backwards as she lost her balance with the retreat, falling onto the canvas.
The ref stepped in to start the ten-count as Crimson cleared her head, having gone down more from bad luck than anything else. She got to her feet (hooves?) on the count of three, grumbling irritably. She knew that the knockdown had lost her the first round, but consoled herself in the knowledge that it was only early days, and she could still turn the fight around.

Round 2:
Both fighters met back in the centre of the ring, only this time, Crimson had something to prove and was eager to redeem herself, annoyed that she'd allowed herself to hit the canvas so early on.
Ryoko was feeling pretty confident following the first round, happy to have gotten the advantage so soon. She didn't hold out on the defensive so much this time round, stepping forwards to fire a straight right to Crimson's face.
Being an experienced boxer herself, Crimson saw the punch coming a mile away, she raised her left arm, easily deflecting her attack away from her, and fired a flash right cross to Ryoko's face.
The punch caught her on the chin, snapping her head to the side and sending droplets of spittle flying through the air. Crimson stepped in close, slamming her left fist into her side with a firm uppercut. Ryoko gasped painfully and moved away, getting out of her firing range.

Her side stinging, Ryoko bounced from foot to foot, her guard level with her chest. As Crimson got close, she threw a left-right-left jab combo to her head, only for her guard to block them all effectively as she stepped in close.
Before Ryoko had enough to time to even rally for her next attack, Crimson slammed a right uppercut into her stomach. She hunched forwards from the impact, coughing loudly as her eyes bulged widely.
She knew that she was in a bad position and tried to move out of Crimson's reach, so she could give herself time to recover. Relying on her speed, the darted to her right, only to be intercepted by Crimson's right hook, connecting with her face and sending her back-peddling the other way, leaning against the ropes for support.
Crimson pounded her gloves together confidently and closed in the the kill, Ryoko swung out wildly to keep her at bay, managing to land a punch on her right cheek, making her falter. She tried using her lapse to her advantage, forcing herself to take a step forwards and deliver a left cross to the other side of her head.

But Crimson wasn't about to lose the advantage now that she had it, slamming her fist hard into Ryoko's plexus, making her collapse onto her and clinch, throwing her arms around her shoulders. Crimson surged forwards, forcing Ryoko's back into the ropes, and hammered her side with several hard, fast jabs.
The referee stepped between them and forced the two fighters apart, just as Ryoko fell forwards, collapsing onto the canvas.
Crimson took a step back and waited, she wouldn't be surprised if she didn't get up after that.
"One...two...three..." Ryoko pushed herself up onto her hands and knees, she was in no rush to get up quickly, taking the time to run the clock down and give herself time to recover, those jabs and hit her pretty hard.
"Four...five...six..." She reached out to grab the middle rope, and rose up onto one foot, taking deep breaths, judging how badly her side had been injured.
"Seven...eight..." Ryoko rose up onto both feet, nodding to the ref that she was okay to keep fighting. The referee sent both fighters back to their corners before the third round started. Crimson was surprised that she'd managed to recover, the smaller boxer was a lot tougher than she'd first given her credit for. Now the playing field was level again, both fighters were eager to get the advantage in the next round.
