interesting, i see the irony that the masks were originally meant for doctors to fill the nose with herbs to supposedly ward off plague and germs yet this character looks so sickly. nice picture, love the dark composition

It reminds me of begotten a little bit, a more edgy intense version of mother nature.

The only thing I don't like about this image is the wings. Again, just my preference, but I feel like they 'cheapen' the image. Her pose is so wonderful, with the elongation and shape of her spine, the subtle curve of her breast and position of her hands.
I love the use of the Comedia Dell'Arte style mask! (something I find is becoming popular again. Especially in photography) The make-up is fantastic. Almost plays a little trick on the eyes, seeming full of depth and perhaps a suggestion on the light.
It's just the wings that bother me. They seem to be of another 'style' than I imagine this piece would be, is that makes any sense. Just very out of place and very 'fake.'

But I really hope you keep posting or revisiting the idea. It has me entranced.

This is both sensual and transformational.
And beautiful.

beautiful. So alien like, so bird like, but inescapably human in her fragile state!
I think the blue make up around the mask is a very nice touch.
