I love this. I am not religious, but I love angels and there is so much emotion and feeling in this. The softness of the strokes on the wings and the face is fantastic. You are one artist that knows when to stop and when there is just enough on the page. Any more and this picture would not be the same. I hope I see more this. I love your use of value the range is executed perfectly in my opinion.

thank you tbh, I got bored and couldn't be buggered to draw any more, but that's the real wonder in art - artist and observer don't need to be in any way synced for the exchange to mean something.

This angel reminds me of another series of angels you did some time ago. I don't know why exactly angels are such an interesting topic. They're beautiful and mystical, and always intriguing. Beautiful work, Emma! Your angel works keep on gaining on more and more vitality. It's great to see a new one here.

thanks.

I like drawing wings, like trying to make them believable, tangible.

Yay, you replied super quickly   I think your wings are great. Through your wing studies I see that you like approaching wings through different angles, but I personally would say that you've mastered the sensation you may be going for. It's interesting how wings vary. Fairy wings are much simpler to make than, say, eagle wings, but even angel wings have their own particular difficulties. I don't know. Your wings take on a form and a direction that is unique and nice -- I feel like where you decide to make the "joints" for the wings' flexibility is aesthetically right, yet somehow different from the angels the media has made everyone used to. Great work

You know, I still remember that beautiful angel you made, white wings, on the edge. It was like the profile of the angel -- so amazing. I've always thought that that painting right there would make an amazing cover. I wonder if you'll be using it in a future project…  Have an awesome weekend! You're kicking off the year with an angel, great sketches, and taking off into even higher heights! Cool!!! Up, up, and away (I think I got that from a movie -- can't remember which, though  )
